does a larger sample greater than 800ul have any effect on the result

The minimum amount is 800 ul. If there is an error, the manufacturer recommends rerunning with 900 ul to rule out fibrin, and avoid air bubbles.

Our lab uses 900 ml, but if we have to share a sample or repeat, we can do with 800 ul. It's the technique that counts - you have to avoid introducing a bubble by not dispensing the blood all the way and lifting the pipette as soon as the last drop flows into the corner of the cartridge.
